by Aaron Edensong

Can't get enough politics in your life? Feeling like the impeachment proceedings just aren't enough Washington, DC intrigue to get you through a full day? Well, you're in luck.

Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Robert Schenkkan has adapted the drama, "The Investigation: A Search for the Truth in Ten Acts" from former special counsel Robert S. Mueller III's report.[Robert Mueller pictured}

The work will be made into a one-show performance by Mixed Blood Theatre.

It was first performed at New York City's Riverside Church this summer. Actors and readers included John Lithgow as President Donald Trump, Kevin Kline as Robert Mueller, Joel Grey as Jeff Sessions, Jason Alexander as Chris Christie, and Alfre Woodard as Hope Hicks. Also participating were Annette Bening, Mark Hamill, Wilson Cruz, Justin Long, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Alyssa Milano, Ben McKenzie, Piper Perabo, Zachary Quinto, Michael Shannon, and Sigourney Weaver.

This edited 80-minute version focuses primarily on Mueller's findings around whether President Donald Trump obstructed justice.

A Mixed Blood Theatre representative said the local presentation is a metrowide collaboration.

"Artistic directors and theatrical talent from throughout the Twin Cities are donating their time and imagination to bring this report alive," she said.

Actors/readers include Ansa Akyea, Warrren Bowles, Peter Brosious, Aimee Bryant, H. Adam Harris, Wendy Knox, Flordelino Lagundino, Kory Pullam, Raul Ramos, Tom Reed, Regina Williams, Stephen Yoakam, and Bruce A. Young.

Artists see performance as a 'Civic Responsibility

“Making the Mueller Report accessible and digestible to the voting populace is our civic responsibility as artists," said co-organizer Bruce Young. "We believe this is important to the future of our country and our democracy. We are presenting this information in hopes that a collaboration of talent and resources can create a dynamic civic event.”

Tickets can be obtained in two ways: 1) Through Radical Hospitality, admission is FREE on a first come/first served basis starting two hours before every show, or 2) Advanced reservations are available online or by phone for $5 per person.
