Executive Assistant - to the Executive Director of STRIVE

We are seeking an experienced, flexible, proactive executive assistant to support the Executive Director of STRIVE, A collective approach to improving student achievement. The focus of this position is providing executive support in a fast-paced environment. A successful Executive Assistant will bring 5+ years executive level experience, be detail oriented and a self-starter, have excellent technology skills and the ability to multi-task, prioritize and anticipate needs.
Description of Duties * Oversee coordinate day to day office communications, budgets, supplies, and logistics * Provide daily support for executive director and team including; Calendar Management, e-mail, etc. * Board Meeting and committee support which includes, preparing meeting documents, minutes and logistics * Coordinate or lead key projects * Prioritize and anticipate schedules, prep work and follow-up required for meetings * Write correspondence, proof and edit documents
Specifications * Five plus years administrative experience supporting a high-level executive required * Proven ability to manage and prioritize calendars and e-mails through Outlook * Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.); database experience preferred * Proven ability to take initiative and adapt to change * Accurate data entry skills and ability to edit for spelling, punctuation and grammatical errors * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to respect and relate effectively both internally and externally to individuals and organizations of diverse backgrounds. * Strong project management skills, ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail and good follow-through * Ability to work independently, anticipate needs and think quickly * Proven ability handling confidential information * Demonstrated ability to acquire working knowledge of the executive's duties to prioritize meetings and prepare work * Proven meeting/travel coordination
